Buying new lingerie is certainly one of the greatest shopping pleasures for every woman. However, we shouldn't hide the fact that we have more sets, this doesn't mean we want to say goodbye to the old ones. The only thing that can force us to do this is mechanical damage and a significant deterioration in the condition of the material. So what can we do to ensure a long life for our underwear? How to wash and dry underwear? Today we offer you proven and effective methods!
How to wash underwear?
Washing frequency
As we all know, the frequency with which we wash them has the main influence on the wear and tear of our clothes - this also applies to women's underwear . So, how often do you wash your underwear?
- Panties - In the case of the bottom of the underwear, the situation is simple and it is washed after each wear.
- Woman's body - It all depends on whether you wear them with panties or not. If you only wear a bodysuit, like panties or a thong, you wash it every time.
- Bras - With bras, the situation is more complex. How often you wash your bra will depend mainly on the season and your sweating level. In late fall and winter, it's usually sufficient to refresh your bra every few days. It's best to do this more often during summer vacations.
Hand wash or machine wash?
Panties are once again the least of our problems - especially cotton panties . Washing them in a washing machine won't harm them, but it's worth considering special washing bags that minimize the risk of damaging the material or decorations.

As a general rule, bras should be hand washed. This, combined with warm water and a mild detergent, will ensure their longevity and will not negatively affect the design of the bra. Does this mean that washing bras is a bad idea? We know very well that hand washing is a tedious process. However, it is worth purchasing special bra washing balls that protect them from deformation, and in the washing machine, choose a gentle wash program with a lower temperature.

How to dry underwear?
The last point is drying the laundry. It is true that the most practical option is to use a tumble dryer , but in the case of women's underwear, we do not recommend this solution. First of all, check the percentage recommendations on the label. However, even if such an option is allowed, we recommend drying the laundry at room temperature, or on a not too hot radiator.

What else to remember?
It is worth remembering that the condition of our underwear is influenced not only by washing and drying , but also by how we store it. How to do it correctly to ensure a long life for your favorite sets? We will talk about it in the next post!
